Saibaba Temple in Centennial conducting open house session on 20th May 11am-2pm
Shri Shirdi Saibaba Temple of Rockies has been successful in identifying and putting Under Contract a building for New Saibaba Temple in the Denver Metro area. Apart from that Sai Team was also successful in getting the zoning approval from the City of Centennial for using the proposed location at 10250 E Easter Ave, Centennial CO 80112 as a place of worship. This is a 9000 sq ft open building the temple management found few months ago, and negotiating to buy. The temple team is conducting an open house on Sunday the 20th May 11am-2pm, for everyone to visit the facility, to get an insight on the proposed plan to complete the temple facility. 14th Downtown Denver Art Festival during memorial day weekend
Memorial Day weekend, the Denver Pavillions fill to the brim with art and artists from all over the country as part of the Downtown Denver Arts Festival. Asian Art Association Wednesday at Noon: Indian Religious Textiles: The Pichwai and
Saroj Merani, Senior Faculty at the Xavier Institute in Mumbai, will give an illustrated talk dealing with the traditions of storytelling on cloth exemplified in the painted kalamkaris of Andhra Pradesh, which draw upon Hindu deity stories as well as the great Indian epics, and the Srinathju pichwais of the temple town of Nathdwara which are devoted to the narrative and worship of Krishna. Included in the presentation will be a discussion of the relevance of these textiles in contemporary Indian life.
